how was it on the slopes? coverage, # of runs open, variety of terrain open, lift lines, ticket lines, parking, etc.

I skied Thanksgiving day and the day after. Jerome Hill and Lincoln were open, plus Christmas Tree and Nob Hill to help you get around. Crowds were light on Thanksgiving, somewhat worse on Friday. Weather was beautiful both days -- a bit cloudier on Friday with a couple of snow flurries.

Lots of rocks, getting much worse towards late Friday. My bases need some real work, although the edges are fine. There are quite a few ways down Lincoln, but not much of the serious stuff. Much is roped off, but the punishment for going off-piste is the snow itself: icy, crusty, and thin. Constant snow-making makes for lots of noise at times. One terrain park was open.

I understand Disney was opened on Saturday, but I had left by then so I can't tell anything about it. Overall, I and the two kids who went with me had an excellent start to the season.
