I'm flying west in January for a week of skiing and staying in Reno. There are shuttles from downtown hotels to Squaw Valley, Mt Rose and Northstar. I can ride a Greyhound to Truckee for other shuttles to Sugar Bowl, Diamond Peak and Alpine Meadow. The one place I can't figure out how to get to from downtown is Heavenly. I could ride a city bus to the airport and a shuttle from the airport to Heavenly, but I was hoping for a direct route. Can anyone help?

Kirby

P.S. The Airport/Casino shuttle apparently does not go past the state line so how would I get to Heavenly if I took that route?

The new Heavely Gondola at the new resort village is downtown next to the casinos. I think the airport shuttle still drops off at all the different casinos. so get off at Harrah's and walk next door to the gondola. It will take you up mid mountain between the Cal and Nevada sides. You will not have to hassel with the bigger crowds at one of the three main base lodges. a Lift ticket bought at the gondola station covers the gondola and all lifts. Have fun, pray for powder, best bets....Alpine Meadows, Heavenly, Homewood (small but can be very fun), and the over priced over packed Sqaw Valley (at times).

Hope this helps, Jason

Whats up,? Going to south lake from reno, you are stuck taking the casino express, its 30 bucks round trip from reno casino to stateline. The Heavenly Gonjola is just two blocks away.My best suggestion is to rent a vehicle when your here since you could drive round trip from reno to any resort in an hour.Kirkwood and Sierra may take a little longer.Better yet, split your trip 1/2 reno 1/2 tahoe. shoot me an email i may be able to hook you up with a ride .
