The roads are clear now, the resorts are opening up to a bluebird day this morning and what a week to call in a powder day!!

Thanks to the crew at Sierra Summit for another amazing rail jam this last Saturday. The course was set up right in front of the lodge for all to see and the turned out in droves to throw down and take home some prizes from the industries top ski and board manufacturers.

After a 30-min skier jam and a 1-hour snowboarder jam the field was narrowed down to five top riders from each field and the three ladies. Then… just to mix things up we decided to make the final round a special jam session on the wall ride alone. And man did the riders throw down. We saw everything from Michael Jackson stalls to perfectly executed blunt stalls and 270s off the top of the feature.

We finally took a day off on Monday and got out in the backcountry below Relay Peak above Incline Village. Check out some of the pics taken on the new 800s. 2.9 power to weight ratio = 151 horse power. oh yeah!!

We danced, we prayed, we went to every “Pray for Snow” party within 100 miles and now winter has finally arrived. With nearly every resort in Tahoe reporting in excess of 48 inches within the last 72 hours and our hidden stashes holding more than 6 -foot blower pow it’s on!!

It was a bit of struggle to get out of the driveway yesterday morning, but once we did oh man was it great. And it’s not over, more snow is expected to drop on the Tahoe basin tonight and throughout the week.
